My dog, Mel, had allergy issues with his skin and both he and his sister, Marsh, had ear infections depending on the food they ate. By process of elimination, I discovered that his problems occurred when eating common wheat and Marsh's ear infections happened after eating chicken. So, I wanted the very best, least allergenic, ingredients to include in their food and treats. No more "anything goes" with treats. Upon consultation with Dr. Kirsten Williams - a veterinarian knowledgeable in pet nutrition and herbs - the ingredients were determined. Most of the treat is made from fresh baked salmon providing the best source of protein for our pets along with important essential fatty acids(EFAs). –

 

Organic sprouted spelt digests, not as a grain, but as a vegetable. This is essential information since our dogs and cats do not digest grains well. The sprouting creates vital enzymes that also aide in the breakdown of food. The complete list of ingredients appears below.

  • Sprouted Spelt (highly digestible, and hypoallergenic)
  • Slippery Elm (keeps our dog's stool firm);
